Marriage & Couples Ministry
The Princeton Church of Christ has an active and growing marriage
ministry. Couples get together to fellowship and build
relationships through various activities. Game nights, movie
nights, eating together or conversing about matters of faith are all
a part of this growing ministry.
This spring, the Princeton church will offer for the first time, the Marriage Enrichment Series Becoming One starting February 14, 2010. This will
be an 12 week marriage enrichment class developed by Family Dynamics
Institute.
In this class, couples will learn the following:
- Our need for intimacy
- How men view intimacy differently than women
- Eight kinds of love
- Eight kinds of intimacy
- The four stages of achieving emotional intimacy
- How to identify and remove intimacy diversions
- How to remove barriers to achieving intimacy
- How to become consummate lovers
The course’s exercises range from intense to fun and
enlightening. Some exercises involve completing questionnaires and
placing the scores on eye-opening charts. Couples learn how to develop
a more fulfilling kind of love and emotional intimacy with their
spouse, experience joyous sexual fulfillment, and work on their
spiritual lives together to develop true spiritual intimacy.
